Turkish Pide Bread
- 110ml milk (or water)
- 70g bread flour (or spelt flour)
- 1 tsp yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 220g AP flour (or spelt flour)
- 120ml water
- 2 tbsp oil/butter
- 3/4 tsp salt
- Mix milk (30c to 35c), bread flour, yeast and sugar in a bowl until incorporated. Cover and let it rise for
30 mins
- Add the flour, water (30c to 35c), oil and salt then mix for a few minutes until the dough forms.
Cover and let it rise for 30 minutes
- Shape the dough into a ball, then shape the ball into a Pide shape. Let it rise for 30 minutes
- Brush the dough with an egg wash, followed by a final shaping. Sprinkle sesame seeds
- Bake at 220c (or 200c fan) for 15 to 20 minutes
