Chocolate Cake

  1. This recipe will make a 5 or 6 inch cake
  2. Whisk the dry ingredients together
  3. In a seperate bowl mix the eggs and sugar
  4. Add in the espresso powder, vanilla extract and the yogurt/milk mix, then mix until combined
  5. Slowly add the vegetable oil and mix until combined
  6. Sift in the flour and mix until just combined
  7. bake at 180c fan for 30 mins for a 6 inch cake and 36 mins for a 5 inch cake

  8. Add the chopped chocolate and butter in a microwaveable bowl
  9. Microwave for 30 seconds then mix and continue microwaving in 15 second intervals until all the chocolate is melted
  10. Once everything has cooled slightly, pour the ganache on the cake and let it settle
